[ belatedly, usagi realizes the stupidity of doing this at night but she's never been the brightest egg anyways. that being said she starts at Sumi yelling but before she can go help, whomp there she goes getting dragged under as well.
through the panicked bubbles of her flailing that sure looks like a tail she just kicked. wow, weird! ]

Nighttime sure is making this difficult. She finds herself getting dragged underwater, kicking and flailing to rid herself of whatever is wrapped around her ankle. A hand, as it turns out. In her struggles, she kicks hard enough to losen the grip — and then she's reaching out to to and grab Usagi's arm or shirt or anything.
that said usagi yelps and inhales far too much water than healthy at the sudden feeling of a hand on her chest. too bad she doesn't realize it's sumi because she sure is slapping at it in the midst of trying to launch herself upwards so she doesn't fuckin drown here. who thought this was a good idea again??? ]
